Sarah & Dallas | Olathe, KS Wedding

Sarah & Dallas’s Olathe, Kansas Wedding Day!

As Tulsa wedding photographers we are always excited to travel out of state. There is a certain allure to destination weddings that  captivates the hearts of vendors and guests alike. Throughout the planning process, Sarah & Dallas were amazing to work with. I remember when we first worked with Sarah & Dallas for their engagement session last May. They were instantly two of my favorite people to photograph with. They were laid back, and happy to be with one another. I knew that they were going to have a great engagement session because of the level of chemistry they showed with one another, and their desire for great imagery. It’s not everyday people like Sarah & Dallas walk into our lives, and now we get to help tell the story of their wedding day!

Their wedding story began at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Olathe, Kansas. Sarah reserved one of the most gorgeous hotel rooms we’ve seen yet. The room had a modern yet classy feel and had floor to ceiling windows, perfect for a shot of her gorgeous dress!

With massive windows and soft neutral colors, the room had a fantastic backdrop for photos with Sarah and her bridesmaids.

Sarah’s dress had a beautiful corset back, and she chose the perfect bridesmaids to help her into it!

After Sarah was in the dress, it was time to head over to Dallas’s grandparents house. Before we got too far, we wanted to capture Dallas’s getting ready photos. His groomsmen were great about helping him get ready, and his mom was there to pin his boutonniere.

We tucked Dallas back inside and pulled out Sarah’s first look with her dad.

Sarah looked STUNNING in her dress! It was so much fun capturing bridals of Sarah right before we went down to the lake for her first look with Dallas!

The day before their wedding, Dallas scoped out several possible locations at the lake nearby. After we went over the options for their first look, we went straight to the lake with Dallas and the groomsmen with Sarah and her bridesmaids following just a few minutes behind.

The location of their first look was the perfect spot for some amazing creatives!

From the creatives we went into photos with the bridal party, followed by a few more photos of Dallas!

When we came back from their first look and creatives, we met back up at Dallas’s grandparents home to get ready for their ceremony.

Taking place within the gazebo that was built for their wedding day, the sun came out and created a beautiful ambiance for their wedding ceremony.

Following the ceremony, it started to get a little colder outside, however, with wonderful food and drinks, it was an amazing way to kick off the reception.

After dinner, it was time for cake and toasts!

After the toasts, came their first dance!

The guests were having an amazing time with one another, and could be found all around the house. Following their TWP Reception Experience, the night was drawing to an end. As the nighttime drew closer, we set up one more photo with their nighttime creative.

Emily and I had such an amazing time in Olathe, KS with Sarah & Dallas, and cannot wait to see what their future holds! Just in the amount of time we’ve had to spend with them, you can tell how passionate they are about putting the needs of others ahead of their own. They are compassionate, incredibly nice, and a true joy to be around. Thank you again for choosing us to capture your wedding day, and we can’t wait for you to see the rest!

All my best,
