Real Weddings: Lauren & Tristan's Vesica Piscis Wedding
Lauren & Tristan’s Vesica Piscis Wedding
Lauren & Tristan’s Vesica Piscis Wedding Day!
Lauren and Tristan are one of the most fun couples we have ever had the chance to work with! One of the interesting traits I noticed during their wedding was that, although they are wonderful people when you have the chance to see them individually, the whole dynamic of the room changes as soon as they are together. As Tulsa Wedding Photographers, we see a lot of love and can always tell when a couple is going to be amazing. Needless to say, we’ve been looking forward to this wedding since before their engagement photos!
Their wedding day photos started off with getting ready photos at Lauren’s parent’s home. We love getting the chance to see within the home. It adds such a personal touch when we are surrounded by photos of Lauren that have been captured throughout her life.
After hair provided by her Aunt Diane, and makeup provided by Your Ever After, we gathered all the gals together including their sweet dog, Charly and got a couple of quick shots in the living room!
Shortly after hair and makeup at Lauren’s parent’s home, we ventured over to The Vesica Piscis Chapel and got to work on her beautiful details! Lauren’s beautiful Jewel wedding dress, was absolutely beautiful and looked fabulous when worn by Lauren.
When we entered the reception hall, we immediately saw Lauren’s beautiful wedding cake and I love the timeless design they chose! Of course, I also love baseball, so Tristan’s Cardinal’s themed cake, was right up my alley as well! =)
Following the details, Emily and I split teams and conquered both sides of the getting ready process. I hung out with Tristan and the guys…
While Emily captured these gems of Lauren and the gals.
One of my favorite moments of the wedding day was actually during the photo of Lauren looking out the window. Weddings can often become such a blur, and the fact that Lauren was able to simply stop and reflect for a moment was certainly one moment I will not soon forget.
Soon after capturing a couple of photos with Lauren, I met up with Tristan in the reception hall, where we captured the traditional photos, followed by a slightly less traditional pose. =)
It was now time to begin the first looks! First, Lauren requested a first look with her dad, which we will always make room for in the timeline!
Immediately following the first look with Lauren and her dad, it was time to bring in Tristan so he and Lauren could share a first look experience as well.
I was smiling the entire time we were able to photograph with these two. When you have the chance to capture a dynamic as amazing as theirs, you can’t help but smile!
With the ceremony about to begin, Lauren was tucked back into the bridal suite for the veil placement and prayer.
Then came the ceremony with two of my favorite flower girls ever!
Though we were still experiencing a drizzle, Lauren pressed on and came in through the main doors for a truly beautiful entry.
The ceremony itself when along very smoothly, and their officiant, Jonathan Odom did an am amazing job!
“You may now kiss your bride” (That was my cue for the next photo) 😉
Right after the ceremony, were the family photos…
Followed by a few more photos with Tristan and Lauren’s amazing bridal party!
Then it was time to sign the marriage license and head on in for the grand entrance and first dance!
Right after Tristan and Lauren’s first dance, they progressed directly into the daddy-daughter dance and mother-son dance.
We then had a little break before cake cutting, toasts, and a beautiful serenade by Lauren’s sisters and father.
After their incredible serenade (which brought many in the room to tears, it was so amazing). It was time for Tristan to get “iced” right before the garter/bouquet toss. These events were followed by dancing, the “TWP Reception Experience”, and ultimately the grand exit.
…though we snuck in something we call a “nighttime creative”. =)
They say time flies when you’re having fun, and this wedding was truly a blast. Thank you again, Tristan and Lauren, for including us on such a special day! Emily and I had an amazing time, and we can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images!!!
We’ll update this page again when the photos are ready, but in the meantime, below you can find links to Tristan and Lauren’s engagement session, and Lauren’s bridal photos!
Thank you again, and we’ll be back soon!
All my best,
-Tabor
