Lacee & Brad's Post Oak Lodge Wedding
Lacee & Brad’s Post Oak Lodge Wedding
Lacee & Brad’s Post Oak Lodge Wedding Day!
We first met Lacee in January 2017 at the Tulsa Wedding Show, which is when we found out that she is one of the nicest people we’ve ever had the chance to work with. Later we had the chance to meet Brad, and sure enough, he is just as awesome and compassionate as Lacy! As Tulsa wedding photographers, we are often surrounded by amazing people, and Lacee and Brad are as incredible as they come. I loved hearing the back story of how they met, and continue to grow as a couple, and am thrilled to be able to share these photos the day after their wedding! Without further ado, let’s look through some of the highlights of Lacee & Brad’s Post Oak Lodge wedding!
Their wedding day photos started off with details, from Lacee’s beautiful wedding gown, (from Abelina’s Boutique), to their gorgeous wedding bands, there were a number of fantastic details to capture throughout the day.
After Lacee’s hair and makeup, she and Brad had their gift exchange.
Lacee’s awesome little boy did such an amazing job throughout the day, and looked sharp as could be in his tux as well!
Brad’s getting ready room was in the same lodge as Lacee, (which worked out nicely for us as well!). It was great getting to meet all of the guys on Brad’s side of the lodge as he got ready for their first look.
…meanwhile, in Lacee’s getting ready room, she was getting into her dress with help from mom and grandma. =)
We took Lacee and her son outside for some photos of the two of them, followed by a mini-bridal of Lacee.
Was it cold? Yes… yes it was. Lacee was incredible when it came to enduring the chill, though we did our best to get back inside as soon as we possibly could. One of my favorite areas at Post Oak Lodge is the pond out front. When we made it over there we quickly realized that it was completely frozen over. Crazy!
Back inside, we planned on their first look taking place in front of the fireplace in the main lobby. It was a welcome warmup and a beautiful location for their first look as well as the start of their creatives.
For their creatives, we began inside the Post Oak Lodge main lobby and then moved outside for a few quick shots as well.
The string of lights lining the trees added the perfect dynamic to their outdoor creatives.
Back inside again, it was nearly time for the ceremony to begin! Having photographed several Post Oak Lodge weddings, I have yet to see decor quite as dreamy as this. They did an amazing job creating an ambience of elegance, and the ceremony itself was just as timeless and beautiful.
One of my favorite aspects of their ceremony was the sand ceremony. Traditionally, the bride and groom will mix their sand together, intermingling the colors never to be separated again. With Lacee and Brad’s sand ceremony, Brad poured in some of his sand, followed by Lacee pouring in some of hers, laying the foundation for their family. The family was symbolized by the pouring of all three of their sand vases on top of the foundation laid by Lacee & Brad.
Following the recessional, we went straight into family formals followed by the grand entrance!
Their grand entrance was certainly grand! The drapery, chandelier, and dance floor gave them a beautiful welcome into the reception all at Post Oak Lodge.
Immediately following their first dance came their daddy-daughter dance and mother-son dance, DJ’d by DJ Mike at Banks Entertainment.
Dinner was also exceptional, and had several of the guests going back for seconds.
During the reception, Lacee and Brad had planned out a number of activities, from caricatures and a photo wall to a group photo and awesome dance floor. The circle tables allowed the guests to enjoy each others company and converse throughout the evening.
After a same-day slideshow, it was time to head out to sparklers!!!
Without question, Lacee and Brad are one of our favorite couples to have worked with since we started photographing weddings in 2012. Thank you both for having us there for your initial engagement, engagement photos, and wedding photos, and we are SO excited to work with you all in the days ahead!
